LBCC Paddling Team June 2001

LBCC Paddling Team March 2006

Membership is open to all (although for safety reasons you must be able to swim).
We encourage young and old, the able and less able, female and male, all those from minority groups, ethnic, disabled, etc.

The vast majority of members come from within the town of Leighton Buzzard but we have members from a wide area, (up to about 20 miles from the club), see location plan for details.

The Club, which has always been a family based organisation, relying on parents for their support and organisation in addition to encouraging them to 'paddle their own canoe',

The membership fees are kept as low as possible for members and the club is run, not for profit, entirely by volunteers in their spare time, organised by a management committee.

The fees for 2008 are as follows:
First Full Member - £115
Family Discounts:
Second Member - £92
Third Member - £75
Fourth and subsequent Members - £57.50

Non-Paddling member £15 (formerly social member),

In addition to these fees a charge is made for storage of canoes in the club boathouse of £25. In the second year of membership onwards an equipment maintenance fee of £25 is levied to cover the costs of continued use of club equipment, where the member does not have their own equipment.

Membership runs from April to March and the AGM is in November.

Casual paddlers are charged at £6.00 per session for a day ticket, (Non-Paddling would need to pay £5 as well should they wish to go for a paddle).
