Welcome to Leighton Buzzard Canoe Club Site

Winners of the National Interclub Championships in Sprint and Marathon

for 2007 in both U12 and general age ranges

Leighton Buzzard Canoe Club is a family-friendly club based behind Tiddenfoot Leisure Centre in the Town of Leighton Buzzard. We paddle mainly on the Grand Union canal which passes through the town.

Due to our location the majority of our paddlers concentrate on the placid water canoe and kayak disciplines of marathon and sprint racing. We have an active membership of over 90 paddlers, with many more non-paddling members besides.

Leighton Buzzard Hasler Race Sunday 15 June 2008

It was as always always a warm bright sunshiney day for our Hasler race and we had a great race as ever polished off by the Fathers Day barbeque.

New Clubhouse Project - Can You Help Us ?
We are currently in the middle of the process of finding a new home for the club, as the current site that we have been on for the last 20+ years is needed by the school for their own expansion. We have located another site nearby, close to the canal, subject to obtaining planning permission and the necessary funding the project will go ahead soon. We are appealing to everyone for funds and hope to be moving in within the next year!
