From the M1 (From the West and
North or South)
Leave the M1 at junction 13, turn east onto the A421. Follow the
signs for Bedford Town Centre and continue until, after crossing over a railway
bridge, you reach Bedford Hospital (South Wing) on the right. Pass through
traffic lights and over another railway bridge, keep to the right lane and
go over the mini-roundabout and move to the left hand lane and pass the Bedfordshire
County Council building on the left.(continues ***)
From The A1 (from the East and
North)
At the Black Cat Roundabout turn right (West) onto the A428 follow
the signs for Bedford and then the Town Centre, once in the town follow the
signs for Luton and A6 which will take you over a bridge across the river,
then follow the signs for the town centre again, eventually the road becomes
one-way, so keep to the right lane and turn right at the end, you now need
to be in the left hand lane.(continues ***)
From The A1 (from the East and
South)
At Sandy turn west onto the A603 junction. Follow the signs for
Bedford Town Centre, after three large roundabouts, the road becomes one-way,
so keep to the right lane and turn right at the end, you now need to be in
the left hand lane. (continues ***)
*** Pass Mander College on the left keep left follow the road and turn left across the river Great Ouse via the Bedford Town Bridge keep in the left lane and after turning left right and left again you pass a large car park/market on the left. Immediately after this turn left off the mini-roundabout into the Viking Kayak Club and Star Rowing Club premises or park in the car park you have just passed.
