National Regatta 3 - Nottingham June 03

In the 200m events: Turrell stormed home against a strong headwind in the Mens B K1 200, to win the class and also to produce the quickest time of the day, the only athlete to go under 42 seconds. Tingay followed closely behind in 42.5 and these two athletes were first and second in the country respectively in terms of times.

In the K2 event Turrell and Tingay, won again fighting off a strong challenge from Moule and Garlick of Chelmsford/Leighton Buzzard. They won the K2 class by 1.5 seconds, again into a strong headwind. Tingay/Turrell/Elkington-Cole/Hoile teamed up for the K4 200, where 4 boats battled it out (a first in terms of numbers for quite a while). They nicked it on on the line from a K4 combination of Moule/Heath/Grossman/Garlick.
